I am Meenakshi Panda, the Director of Software Engineering at Capital One. My journey in the tech industry has been both challenging and rewarding, with a strong focus on overseeing critical computer systems, leading diverse teams, and addressing various engineering aspects. My expertise lies in Platform Engineering, where I excel in migrating large-scale applications to the cloud and ensuring the reliability of these systems.
At Capital One, I've had the privilege of updating legacy applications using AWS, leading the implementation of System Reliability Engineering practices, and significantly contributing to enhancing our cybersecurity initiatives. One of my notable accomplishments is creating a platform for hosting static content that supports over 800 applications, enabling teams to operate efficiently without substantial infrastructure investments.
In my current role, I am deeply involved in developing and delivering machine-learning models to identify security issues with APIs, monitor API traffic, and detect anomalies in external data sharing. As someone who values talent, I actively recruit top-tier tech professionals and support initiatives to boost the engagement of our Asia Pacific Islander associates.
Before joining Capital One, I worked at Infosys as a Technical Project Manager, where I managed multiple projects, handled resources, and reviewed application architecture and design. My innovative solution design during pre-sales activities secured a multi-million dollar deal, and I hold an approved patent.
Throughout my career, I've been recognized with numerous awards, including the TechXcellence Awards at Capital One and several accolades from Infosys. I am excited to share my experiences, learn from you, and help you navigate your career path.
