About Mehrdad Hedayati
Engineering Team Lead, AI & Platform Engineering at Roadsurfer GmbH
Engineering Team Lead, AI & Platform Engineering | AI Agents | Claude Code | n8n | TDD | DDD | Clean Code | Software Architecture | Career Growth 🚀
I wanted to be an electronics engineer. In high school I built RoboCup soccer robots: the electronics, the mechanics, and the code, in Z80 assembly and C. University took me into software engineering instead, and I stayed. I've built software as an employee and a freelancer, and I've been through most of the transitions you might be facing: junior to senior, senior to lead, employee to freelancer and back. I've also hired engineers and reviewed a lot of resumes, so I know what the other side of the table is looking for.
I lean towards the technical side of software development, and mentoring is how I pass on what I use in my own work every day.
Where I can support you: ‣ Honest feedback on your resume, LinkedIn, and portfolio ‣ Code and architecture review ‣ Growing from junior to senior, or from senior into your first lead role ‣ Getting into AI: coding agents like Claude Code, MCP, and workflow automation ‣ Clean code, TDD, and DDD in real projects ‣ Working remotely without disappearing ‣ Breaking into software development, even if you started somewhere else
You don't need to have it all figured out before booking 💙
