I'm Melissa. Currently I'm working on weaving UX writing into marketing and growth initiatives as senior UX Writer at Toptal. Before that, I worked at Booking.com, Figma, ATTN:, and for freelance clients around the world.
I love to talk about the craft, and I also love helping early-career writers identify their transferable skills, so they can go into interviews with confidence.
I'm also passionate about helping current ux writers grow in stakeholder management, strengthen collaboration with their product teams, and advocate for content-led or (content-concurrent) design. Recently I'm also into leading a content design revolution in AI, and investigating how we can make LLMs work for us, not against us.
In my free time, you can find me raising dogs and goats, learning languages, singing and practicing guitar, seeing live music, at a Reformer pilates class, sewing, baking, cycling, traveling with little prior planning, and walking miles out of my way to find the spiciest, most delicious food I can tolerate.
