About Miao

Head of Design System at Maya PH

I'm a Design System Lead and a Visual Designer with 8+ years of experience designing different kinds of products, leading design systems, and collaborating with global product and engineering teams. My work has been recognized through international design awards and has helped scale design consistency across large product ecosystems.

I love helping designers build confidence, strengthen their portfolios, navigate career transitions, and understand how design systems work in real product teams.

I'm joining ADPList to give back to the design community. Mentorship has played an important role in my own career, and I'd like to help others grow through honest conversations, actionable feedback, and practical industry experience.

What mentees say

“Miao not only pointed out the weaknesses in my portfolio, but also gave me many useful suggestions. This helped me have a clearer and more realistic understanding of portfolio layout and future employment. Miao also sincerely shared her own working experience and helped me notice some problems that I had not realised before.”

“I had a good session with my mentor who provided meaningful feedback on my portfolio. Her critique made sense, and is actionable. Overall, my experience met expectations”

“Thanx! Miao. This session meant a lot to me:) You were incredibly supportive and patient while walking me through how to actually build design tokens, not just the theory, but the real thinking behind it. You gave me so much practical advice on where to start, and honestly, I was a bit lost before this, so having someone break it down step by step made a real difference.”
