Director, User Experience at Google
Hi,
I'm Michael and I have over fifteen years of experience leading creative, multi-disciplinary teams from idea to launch of digital products for healthcare, communication, finance and most recent, place discovery and directions with Google Maps. I'm fortunate to have spent the past decade-plus learning from visionaries and pioneers at NYU, frog, RGA, Fjord, BofA and Google. I'm inspired to help others in the UX community at early stages or transitions in careers.
“MJ is such a delight to speak with! We spoke about job search strategies and this is what I learned: - Ask for informational interviews with designers working in companies you love. Show your passion for the space and ask for perspective. - Reach out to recruiters with one or two hooks in the first sentence. - Do some research on VC funding to find startups in the space you love.”
“Michael was able to zero-in on my questions and provide insightful and actionable feedback and advice. I walked away with a page full of notes and a lot to ponder on as I take his feedback and apply it to my day-to-day. His perspective is bolstered by his depth and breadth of experience and further amplified by his passion in helping those around him.”
“My session with Michael’s was extremely helpful. I got all the answers to questions about my career growth. Also tips and advices, like what I should look into more in detail for the future, are definitely applicable and inspiring. Thank you!”
