About Mingi Hong

Senior Software Engineer at Bolt

Hi, I’m currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Bolt in Tallinn, with 8+ years of backend development experience spanning Kakao, global fintech (M-DAQ), quant trading, and tech startups.

Moving across different engineering domains—from high-throughput backend services to quant systems—and relocating internationally taught me how overwhelming career choices and work challenges can feel. My goal as a mentor is simple. Listen deeply to your story, help you filter out the noise, and turn ambiguity into clear, actionable next steps.

How I can help you Backend & Systems Career Development: Shifting to senior roles, high-level approach for backend system design study, and technical skill roadmaps. International Tech Career: Moving to Europe/Estonia, navigating global work environments, and English communication tips for non-native engineers. Resume & Interview Prep: Practical feedback on resume positioning, system design interviews, and behavioral questions. Work Challenges & Mindset: Dealing with engineering burnout, managing context switching, or simply having a safe space to talk through work frustrations.

Please note: Due to the 30-minute time constraint, I focus on high-level guidance, Q&A, and career strategy rather than full-scale mock interviews or deep-dive resume reviews. If any of these areas resonate with your current career goals, feel free to book a chat. Looking forward to meeting you!
