Building the world's first LLM-Based Evaluation & Monitoring Management Tool

As the AI & Engineering Lead, I manage a team of over 10 engineers, driving the development of LyRise’s flagship platform to enable companies to access top engineering talent and adopt AI seamlessly. I oversee all aspects of architecture, design, and technical integration while ensuring strong alignment with product, sales, and fulfillment teams, along with acting as a technical consultant to prospects and customers. 

► Key Contributions :
• Rebuilt the engineering team from the ground up, establishing processes, technical standards, and best practices 
• Aligned the engineering team with the company’s growth goals through autonomy and self-governance practices.
• Architected and developed the core platform with multiple AI-driven tools to enable AI adoption for different companies
• Acted as a technical consultant, supporting clients from gap analysis through to deal closing for over 150 prospects.
• Delivered the product serving over 50 B2B clients in their hiring processes without human intervention.

I have been an AI Instructor and Consultant at the Information Technology Institute (ITI), contributing to the AI-Pro Track through deep learning sessions, project mentorship, and course development.

► Key Contributions:

• Deep Learning Sessions: Delivered three sessions in the Deep Learning course, covering foundational concepts of neural networks.
• Computer Vision & Image Processing Course: Designed and delivered an ongoing eight-lecture series for undergraduate summer training, covering topics such as 2D signal processing, image segmentation, blob analysis, edge detection, and object detection, among others.
• Mentorship for Computer Vision & NLP Projects Guided three significant projects:
Polarimetric SAR Classification using Deep Learning (Remote Sensing) - Image Captioning Using Neural Architecture Search (AutoML) - Video Summarization and Search Using Transformer Models (NLP)
•Participated in project discussions at the Smart Village Branch (2021) and Alexandria Branch (2022).

As the Lead Engineer for over four and a half years, I led & shaped the development of TUBA, a no-code Deep Learning tool aimed at enabling industrial sector specialists to build AI models without prior experience. TUBA provides a user-friendly interface & SDKS for creating & deploying AI models, making advanced AI accessible to non-experts.

• Lead the team of Fullstack Engineers, DevOps, Testers, and ML Engineers for more than 4 years. 
• With over 20 Employees & Contractors under my supervision during 4+ years.
• Developed the Multi-Cloud infrastructure of the whole product on multiple iterations

At Nokia, I was part of the founding team of Telecom Analytics & Innovation (TAI), focusing on building data analytics and engineering tools for telecom engineers in areas such as NPO, pre-launch, IP, and microwave networks. These tools automated data extraction from various sources, improving operational efficiency through AI and data analytics.

► Key Contributions:
• Contributed to the architecture & development of TAI portal, a web platform for engineers to access over 20+ AI/Data tools.
• Platform reached more than 100 engineers daily, over teams from 3 telecom providers 
• Developed ETL pipelines to extract & process data from NetAct into databases like ElasticSearch and MySQL.
• Built ETL processes using Python and C#, deployed for two major mobile operators in Egypt with TBs of hourly data.
• Created AI tools for site auditing, network KPI analysis, a map-based network site viewer, and report analyzers for NTRA 
• Report analyzers for NTRA reports, site maintenance automation, graph-based microwave link optimization algorithm.   
• Built tools for mobile network traffic parameter forecasting & audits for neighbor definitions and parameter inconsistencies.
• Co-managed the infrastructure from cloud to physical servers in our data center, handling the full software lifecycle. 
• Delivered a comprehensive 10-day workshop to NPO engineers on Python, data science, and time-series forecasting.
• Led machine learning training sessions for interns over 3 consecutive years, focusing on its applications in telecom.

At Lyra Analytics, I was one of the first engineers hired in the company. I led the development and architecture of a platform designed to streamline the hiring and team-building process for AI and Data teams. The product featured an assessment exam, a talent network, an upskilling program, and an automated system to help clients efficiently build their teams.

► Main Contributions:
• Designed and architected the company’s main product, setting technical standards, processes, and practices.
• Managed and led a team of 4 engineers (Fullstack and Backend) to execute projects and maintain the product.
• Trained over 15 interns over 2.5 years, mentoring them on software engineering and development best practices.
• Developed and managed the cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure and Digital Ocean, ensuring reliable operations.
• Delivered 5+ AI and Data-related Proof of Concepts (PoCs) for clients, showcasing innovative solutions.
• Contributed to designing the syllabus and exams for the AI Launchpad Upskilling Program.

At Digified, I worked on developing the first End-to-End Solution for identity verification and recognition in Egypt, leveraging computer vision techniques. This product, which included a custom-made OCR algorithm, face recognition, and facial anti-spoofing technology, was the first certified by the Central Bank of Egypt for e-KYC and was deployed to various banks and Financial Institutions.

►  Contributed to Architecture & Development of : 
• Cloud infrastructure of the whole product on multiple iterations, Main Data Pipelines including ETL pipelines & production databases, System Architecture for the company's main solution. 
• Face Recognition & Verification module, End-to-End Arabic OCR module, Face Anti-Spoofing module, Document Data Verification Module

• Dashboard for data visualization, review and analysis, SDKs for Android and iOS,

During my time at DevisionX, I worked on two primary projects: Laser Stop and Arabic OCR. My main focus was developing an Arabic OCR solution for Egyptian ID cards, which involved creating a robust computer vision pipeline for recognizing Arabic characters. In this project, I engineered traditional and deep learning approaches to accurately segment and detect Arabic numerals, culminating in a deployable API and frontend for testing. I also contributed to Laser Stop, an experimental, low-cost embedded laser machine designed to detect faults in textile manufacturing, enhancing its circuitry, signal processing, and noise management for deployment in a textile factory.

► Egyptian ID Detection & Arabic OCR Models :
• Developed a character segmentation algorithm using the Savitzky–Golay Filter.
• Created traditional image processing techniques and multiple CNN models for Arabic OCR
• Implemented a voting-based model ensemble technique to improve accuracy.
• Built and deployed an API for the full OCR solution, including a frontend for testing.

► Laser-Based Yarn Break Detector :
• Designed and improved PCBs and AVR MCU code for laser fault detection.
• Designed digital filters for signal processing, optimizing performance in an industrial setting.
• Developed the microcontroller code in C and Matlab code for DSP implementations.  
• Led prototyping and installation of the laser machine in a textile factory.

As the founder of Ismailia’s first makerspace, I led initiatives that introduced innovation and technology to the local community, establishing a hub for engineering and creativity. My efforts led to community growth, expanding the makerspace twice within 16 months, and securing partnerships and opportunities with Mok3b Coworking Space and the Academy of Scientific Research & Development. I participated in regional and international events such as Maker Faire Cairo and Fab Conference 15, where I delivered a workshop on behalf of Fab Lab Ismailia.

► Main Achievements:
• Launched Ismailia’s first makerspace and expanded twice in under 16 months.
• Organized events and partnerships with IEEE, ASME, Fun Lab Ismailia, and NASA Space Apps.
• Event Participation: Represented at Maker Faire Cairo (2018-2020) and Fab Conference 15.
• Introduced 3D printing, CNC machining, PCB Design and laser cutting services in Ismailia.
• Developed community projects such as the Minesweeper & ROV Robot, and Smart House Project.
• Delivered workshops on Arduino, Embedded Systems, and Electronics, training STEM students.

Pi Developers was a software-house based in Cairo that specialized in Android software development, I founded it with 2 of friends during the last year of high school, up to second year of university. 

At Pi Developers, I made a substantial impact on the Android development community, with my projects featured on XDA Developers eight times and on various mobile application blogs. I released seven Android applications on the Play Store, amassing over 50,000 downloads collectively.

► Socials Addict : 
A digital well-being app that tracked social media usage, helping users monitor and reduce time spent on platforms like Facebook and Instagram. It promoted healthier digital habits through daily insights and break reminders.

► Floata: 
A floating tweet app inspired by Messenger’s chat heads, allowing users to access and send tweets without interrupting other activities. This app gained popularity among social media users for its multitasking convenience.

► Pi Locker: 
A clean and customizable lock screen replacement designed for a sleek interface and enhanced security, catering to users wanting a visually appealing, clutter-free experience.
