As the Technical Product Manager for the retail channel, I am leading a team consisting of engineers, product designers, and product managers. With the responsibility for overseeing the entire product management process, including business analysis and product strategy. My focus is on designing products to enable users to invest in diverse asset classes such as stocks, fixed deposits, and other savings products.


- In this role, I effectively collaborated with a cross-functional team to revamp the onboarding process. This was accomplished by utilizing product design principles to enhance user experience and designing a flexible and scalable backend architecture. These efforts resulted in a notable improvement of about a 33% increase in the conversion rate 
- Led the development and successful launch of a new asset class on the retail channel. This resulted in the acquisition of new customers and, the inclusion of a new user group previously untapped by our offerings.
- Leading the product development effort aimed at expanding our presence and entering emerging markets. This involved customizing the products to meet market-specific requirements, and adapting the product strategy and revenue models accordingly while gaining a deep understanding of the customers and the unique dynamics of the target markets. Thereby successfully navigating the complexities of these emerging markets and driving growth.

- Led the product development efforts for a versatile payment gateway solution. This involved building a robust platform that supported multiple payment channels, including cards, bank transfers, direct bank routing, and USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data). By incorporating these diverse payment options, the product provided customers with great flexibility and convenience,  resulting in a robust and user-friendly payment gateway product.
- Responsible for monitoring and tracking product adoption, by analyzing user data/feedback and  gaining valuable insights into their usage patterns and preferences
- Crafting a clear and compelling product vision that aligned with the needs of the target audience while collaboration with cross functional teams to ensure product success

- Collaborated with the engineering lead and project managers to define and scope project requirements,  prioritize features  and estimate required resources
- Guided and launched viable products serving the agency banking space which led to the acquisition of a new user group and increased business revenue by over 67%
- Monitored market trends and analyzed competitors, proposed new features, engaged internal and external stakeholders, and ensured requirements are properly documented and maintained 
- Conducted presales meetings to help users understand product value proposition and in some case suggest how they can tailor for suits their business cases

- Ensured the timely and successful delivery of products.
- Worked with the engineering team to facilitate daily testing and resolve any product bugs that were identified. 
- Maintained a strong focus on continuously aligning the product development process with the documented requirements, ensuring that the final product met the specified standards and functionality. - Tracked the progress and velocity of the engineering team to provide a proper delivery estimation
- Conducted thorough testing, and ensured a smooth and high-quality product delivery.
