As the Associate Director of Product Design, I lead product design functions at Planned Parenthood’s national office. Our team champions cross-functional collaboration and human-centered design to help people across the country access safe and equitable health care. Individually, I deliver the following bodies of work: 

• Leading the implementation of our design program, a department-wide initiative aimed at prioritizing and socializing design and research within our product development process

• Fostering the technical and professional growth of 3 product designers

• Initiating and fostering new partnerships to maintain the cutting-edge status of our product offerings

Morgridge Acceleration Program (MAP) is an ecosystem of leaders building solutions to the greatest challenges of our time. MAP Fellows are matched with a social sector executive and commit to tackling a pressing challenge at the organization over the next 6 months. 

During my fellowship, I worked with Creative Commons to raise the mainstream profile of the organization, and public awareness of their legal tools, with the long-term goal of building a more innovative and creative world.

• Led the strategic redesign of our blogs, notably our acclaimed Spanish blog "Sexo Sin-vergüenza," a recipient of a Gold award at the 2023 Anthem Awards.

• Designed UX/UI features from inception (Low-fidelity wireframes) to delivery (High-fidelity prototypes) on plannedparenthood.org, which receives over 15 million monthly visits.

• Spearheaded the innovation of design patterns and themes in our design system, contributing to the development of 40% of its components in collaboration with two other designers.

The Cru empowers women achieve their life goals. When women apply, our algorithm matches them with a diverse group of women in their time zone. This group, or “Cru,” receive support/accountability from each other while having exclusive access to goal-tracking solutions, 1:1 coaching, digital tools, and exclusive content. 

As the Senior Designer, I produced and executed creative solutions for our marketing and product needs.

• Individually led a comprehensive rebrand across web, social media and print 

• In collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, solved user flow challenges in our digital application, increasing our conversion rate by 27%

• In collaboration with our social media manager, tripled our social media followers on Instagram from 11K to 32K in just one year

Collaborated with a product team to increase engagement and reach for CareMessage, the largest patient engagement platform for underserved populations in the United States.

The John Lewis Fellowship is offered by Humanity in Action in partnership with the National Center for Civil and Human Rights.

The 2020 fellowship themed "Just Justice" focused on strategies of allyship and action for contributing to social equity and racial justice. With a specific focus on the U.S. South, fellows learned how to bring lessons of coalition building and different forms of justice (historical, restorative, social, intergenerational, healing, distributive) into their own work.

Valiant Labs, Nike’s new business incubator, creates services that serve underrepresented groups and promote sustainability. As a summer fellow, I worked as a designer on several business teams to amplify emerging businesses. 

•  Collaborated with marketing leads, developers, entrepreneurs and other fellows to create services for underrepresented groups of people

• Co-planned and facilitated 3 workshops that generated over 300 potential solutions to the issue of wellness inaccessibility

• Progressed the impact of a new business through visual design, UI/UX design, and animation

The Center for Multicultural Academic Excellence (CMAE) provides services at the University of Oregon that promote retention for historically underrepresented students. As the Design & Marketing Coordinator, I created visual content to spread awareness on CMAE’s services and increase student engagement.

• Created CMAE’s brand identity through an established style guide, thereby increasing visibility and instilling trust with partnered organizations

• Launched 2 digital campaigns focused on CMAE’s mission: increase the retention of People of Color at the University of Oregon

Worked as a Front-end Developer Intern for ThinkShout, an agency that provides services to non-profits that include but are not limited to: website development, content strategy, and digital marketing. 

• Worked closely with a designer and back-end developer to successfully redesign the website of a non-profit
