Product Designer at PVH Corp.
Product Designer at PVH Corp.
In short: Mid-senior level Product Designer Experience in working for startups and corporates Queer Neurodivergent (ADHD)
In long:
Product Designer for PVH working on designing web apps for internal use, and improving the product team maturity here at PVH. I'd describe my mentorship style is warm and reassuring (imposter syndrome, am I right?), with a reasonable dose of reality-checks where needed.
I've been in the industry for 5+ years after graduating in Graphic Design in the UK, with my journey since then looking a bit like Graphic Designer (small studio, didn't like it) > Web Designer (liked it way more) > Team Lead (liked it but stressful) > Product Designer for mobile apps (loved it but very stressful) > Burnout (not a surprise) > Product Designer for web apps (very different environment and loving it). I've worked for a fast-paced Fintech startup and currently work for a massive corporate, so I have a range of stories to tell and advice to give about these environments and roles! Current primary work tool is Figma.
I'm originally from the UK, and things that bring me joy are reading & learning from articles, books podcasts etc., long walks around Amsterdam & nearby forests, craft beers (non-alcoholic), houseplants, cooking & baking, browsing dog adoption websites and then getting sad that I can't adopt any of the sweeties yet.
On a more personal note, I am a lesbian woman recently diagnosed with ADHD (summer 2021), so I can also offer some potential wisdoms of navigating the tech and design space as a queer neurodivergent person π
