In addition to being a visual artist and designer, I’ve been leading design teams and practices for the past 6 years. I built, grew, and lead the UX practice for a mid-sized financial services company, and now I'm doing the same for a commercial lending startup. Throughout my career, I’ve gained some great relationships through mentoring students (and hiring interns) via portfolio review, mock interviews, and conversation and feedback. UX is a discipline that thrives on collaboration, and building relationships and networking with other practitioners is vital to success.
