About Olivia Chung
Senior Product Manager at LifeLabs Learning
Hi! I'm Olivia and I have 5+ years of experience as a product manager. I'm building 0 to 1 products in a B2B(2C) edtech-ish company focused on adult leadership development. I was their first product hire and now we're a team of 3! I enjoy product because I get to leverage my unique skills to create multiplied, thoughtful social impact.
I've also been a career coach for a couple years and find "flow" in supporting others in their journey!
My superpower is asking powerful questions to identify insights, playing back your thoughts to highlight patterns in your thoughts and behaviors, and helping you set actionable next steps that feel productive, yet doable. I'm also a big believer that you're probably already a superstar and just might need a little help finding the light.
Talk with me about: // Product management, especially in social impact, non-big tech spaces, and early product teams // Shape Up, continuous discovery, unconventional product teams and systems, tech-enabled, empowering teams, product metrics, systems thinking // Career design and reflecting on what you really want (it's OK not to know!) // Alternative careers that meet the same "job to be done" as product // How to tell your story // Imposter syndrome
Not focused on resume/portfolio reviews at this time.
Expertise
What mentees say
“Olivia is excellent at helping me navigate my imposter syndrome and formulate a strong sense of what I am looking to do. She is passionate about her field and expresses herself clearly when conveying her expertise. I learned a lot from her and I also am able to learn about myself as well--which is what I hoped to get out of my mentorship.”
“Olivia was very helpful in our discussion! I wanted to learn about product management and the EdTech space, and she gave resources for exploring both. I particularly appreciated her thoughts on AI in tech (how all roles will be impacted and it's about how we use our taste to navigate the tools/outputs), really thinking about what I want, and building the picture for others to see.”
“I just my first session with Olivia. I had such a great time and her feedback was very helpful. As someone who is trying to dive into the Social Impact world in Product, Olivia has been given me so many tips on how to better position myself as a Designer in this field. Looking forward to our next session!”
