Implemented Scrum to manage the development lifecycle of the Discovery product. I coached engineers and product owners about Scrum, facilitated all scrum ceremonies, computed the teams velocity and demonstrated to product and engineering managers how to use it as an input for release planning, sprint planning and backlog prioritization. In addition, I introduced the team to story point estimation and used a digit planning poker tool to conduct estimations. Furthermore I introduced the C4 architecture model to the team to help create the context and container diagrams for the discovery product. This enabled  and simplified on-boarding for new engineers. The finished discovery product was released to the general public one year after development started.

In collaboration with multiple stakeholders within Andela and IZEA, I researched and deployed  Pluralsight Flow - a tool for reporting software development analytics and metrics in engineering organizations.  It provided IZEA leadership with in-depth 360 visibility into their engineering org; and actionable metrics to continually improve how leaders, teams and individuals work.

Coached engineers about software best practices and patterns such as : Clean architecture, Domain Driven Design, CQRS, Repository pattern, and TDD. In addition, I helped ramp-up their knowledge to understand the purpose and use of complex data structures and algorithms such as: Trie, Graphs and Dynamic programming Following this the team produced software that's scalable, easy to maintain and performant.

The outcomes of implementing scrum for the Discovery team led the CTO to mandate a company-wide professional scrum adoption by all engineering teams. In addition, these initiatives and many more increased Andela's ARR with IZEA by over 60%.

Introduced AWS cloud, recommended the development of a suite of web based applications to manage the ministries’ events, members and global audience. I wore a product and engineering manager hat, engaged 4 software engineers and a community of testers for the solutions.  Set up ECS  hosting environments, CICD pipeline for the Events and CRM portal, to facilitate registration and payments for the organization's  annual conference that hosts over 1000 participants.

Leveraging AWS services lowered  previous infrastructure cost by over 70%.

Facilitated the recruitment of 4 distributed engineers to develop and maintain the clients content marketing and content creation solution. In addition to hiring, I was responsible for coaching the project manager and engineers on agile best practices - scrum, kanban. I wore the product owner hat for a period, working with the CEO, PM and lead engineers to document client requirements; ensuring they align with the INVEST attributes. Furthermore, I carried out analysis of the client's AWS cloud infrastructure in order to make recommendations which were implemented with a DevOps resource located in Kenya. This effort enabled the developers to ship code in an automated way and significantly reduced infrastructure costs, leading to immediate client, user satisfaction and growth.
These and many more initiatives grew Andela's ARR with Influence and Co. by over 40%.

Andela is a remote first global organization that outsources talented technologists to clients located in US, Canada and Europe. I'm responsible for the success of Andela Engineers on client engagements. Specifically I provide software engineering management services. Below is a summary of my achievements whilst working with Andela clients.

Engineering Manager - LevelTen Energy (Seattle, Washington, US)

Responsible for the end to end engineer and teams lifecycle. Specifically over a period of 3 years, I recruited and managed 20 globally distributed  PEAN , QA and DevSecOps engineers to  build the client's sophisticated and wildly successful  clean energy platform for energy buyers and sellers. In addition to hiring,  I was responsible for agile coaching, consulted and contributed to product architecture,  technical on-boarding, engineer 1 to 1s, performance management, growth and exit.
 In 2021 LevelTen Energy successfully raised its series C funding of 35 million dollars to expand it's suite of renewable transaction infrastructure accelerating deals between the worlds largest group of renewable energy advisors, buyers, sellers and financiers.

Trained all engineers on Scrum and how to leverage it for iterative / agile development. In addition, the team was introduced to C4 architecture model; this enabled lead developers and engineering managers to document the product ecosystem for consumption of all stakeholders, leading to an org-wide; high-level shared understanding of the product ecosystem.

Prepared a framework to describe the test pyramid and how it can be used by software testers and engineers to create high quality software products in an effort to convince LevelTen Engineering Leadership to setup a dedicated team of QA engineers using the framework as a guide. 
The outcomes of these initiatives increased Andela's ARR with LevelTen Energy by over 30%.

BESPOKE AUTHENTICATION AND AUTHORIZATION SERVER: Adapted and deployed the .NET open source Identity Server to provide single sign on  and claims based authorization for Web, Mobile and Desktop applications with OAUTH2 and OpenID connect. In 2015 this solution among others helped the business raise 20million dollars from convergence partners.

EBIPS-REMITA INTEGRATION : Integrated the company's flagship invoicing and billing solution to the REMITA payment platform to facilitate direct settlement into Federal Government Treasury Single Accounts.

ELECTRONIC CASH MONITORING SYSTEM : A Web application that processes and tracks customer payments to vendors that operate at airports across Nigeria. 

﻿BANK BALANCE API : A service that integrated with 9 Nigerian banks to provide account balance and transaction history for selected accounts.

MULTI-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION SERVICE : A REST API that  implements and exposes google two factor authentication to consuming clients.
