As Lead Technical Writer at RootstockLabs, I oversee the creation and maintenance of the Rootstock Developer Portal. I work closely with stakeholders to ensure accurate documentation and improve the developer experience when onboarding to the Rootstock platform.

As a Senior Technical Writer at Rootstock, I have played a pivotal role in shaping the developer experience and the adoption of Rootstock and RIF Products by streamlining the developer onboarding process and enhancing the overall developer experience for documentation. Over the years, I have collaborated closely with cross-functional teams to define the scope for product docs, guides, and tooling for developers, ensuring that the resources provided are aligned with the company's goals and the needs of developers. 

Rootstock Developer Portal 
- Led the redesign and relaunch of the Rootstock Developer Portal

The Rootstock Developer Portal has Rootstock guides, quick starts, and SDK documentation to enable developers and users to build and integrate Rootstock in their apps.
Spearheaded the re-launch of the developer portal project (1st August 2024) and GTM plan of the renewed documentation in collaboration with stakeholders and team.

- Led the user research and discovery for the developer portal, incorporating a holistic approach via developer docs surveys and stakeholder management, leading to the discovery of four major stakeholders and users to the dev portal
- Designed a new Information architecture for the dev portal to align with these five key content buckets and incorporated key metrics into the new redesign
- This simplified the Information Architecture and led to a 50% reduction in overall content volume.
- This reduced the total number of SEO issues from 4,382 to 1,773, achieved a 100% accessibility score and fixed 100% of technical issues.
- The new portal is expected to boost developer onboarding experience by 90%, leading to increased innovation and an increase in developers for Rootstock.

- Written over 50+ product documentation and guides that onboarded 5000+ developers onto the Rootstock Blockchain and other platforms.
- Co-author and Editor for the Rootstock Courses

The STC is a professional association dedicated to the advancement of technical communication across all fields. Technical communicators research and create information about technical processes or products directed to a targeted audience through various forms of media.

Owanate is the Founder and Team Lead at Techrity Innovation Foundation, a community driven, non-profit organization dedicated towards helping new talents into Tech and building solutions for social good in Africa.

- Tech for Good Conference
Techrity is the convener of the annual Tech for Good Conference in Nigeria which showcases the impact of using Technology for Social Good in Africa. Over the years, the conference has boasted of over 300+ attendees annually with over 20+ Social impact organizations present, and over 10+ social impact projects supported via the hack for good hackathon. - Techrity Mentorship Program
Since inception in 2020, Techrity have successfully connected over 500+ youths via the Techrity Mentorship Program, to mentors to be trained in different fields such as frontend and backend development, content writing, technical writing, UI/UX Design, AI, Data Analysis to mentees in a 8weeks program. The mentors provides guidance to mentees looking to learn directly from experienced professionals in the field, our mentors span across Nigeria, India, Mozambique, Kenya, etc. At Techrity, we believe in the power of paying it forward and are building a community of givers who pay it forward using their time, resources and skills.

- Kickstart Programs
The kickstart program is aimed at kickstarting new talents into tech with the vital resources and tools to start a tech career. Through the kickstart and outreach programs, Techrity has supported over 100+ young talents with browsing data support and laptops to kickstart a career in Tech.

- Create, maintain and drive the developer content strategy (documentation, guides, tutorials, videos) for RootstockLabs products and services under the developer portal at https://developers.rsk.co.

- Create internal (staff) and external facing documentation such as courses, trainings, and explainers.

- Apply and manage the technical writing process in documentation.

- Create content strategy that align with business objectives and technical audiences.

- Collaborate with product teams and external partners to create and publish documentation for developers and technical audiences across a variety of products and services.
