I didn't plan to become a product manager. I planned to be an engineer.
But somewhere between writing code at my first job and watching products fail not because of bad engineering but bad thinking I realised where I actually wanted to be.
So I made the shift. Did my MBA. Jumped into fintech. And spent the next 8 years building products that millions of people use every day payment systems, UPI flows, AI chatbots, insurance products learning something new with every ship and every failure.
What I didn't have was a mentor who'd been through it. Someone to tell me which battles to pick, how to write a PRD that people actually read, or how to navigate the chaos of cross-functional teams without losing your mind.
I figured things out the hard way.

No jargon. No theory. Just real talk from someone who's been in the room.
