About Pat Arnold

Lecturer at Northeastern University

Pat Arnold is a highly-awarded creative director and strategist with a rich background in building enviable experiences for some of the more impressive names one could drop in conversation. He’s the Head of Creative at digital marketing agency, Gupta Creative, and most recently led creative at the digital agency Phase2, and the internal team at Zipcar overseeing global brand, UX and campaigns. He’s also a Lecturer in the Digital Media MS program at Northeastern University.

Living at the intersection of the rebellious creative mindset and the control-freak tendencies of brand, Pat brings a unique perspective on how to build and manage vibrant systems that thrive in the modern marketing landscape. Over his 20-plus year career he’s gone from a small Midwestern agency you’ve never heard of, learning how to be an art director on an account you likely have forgotten, on to working with some of the more impressive brand names one could casually drop in conversation.

During his agency time Pat worked in advertising, digital, and experience marketing shops such as Digitas, Jack Morton, Toth+co, and Zentropy to name a few. Since moving to the client side he applied that expertise at software brands Taleo, CA Technologies, and most recently Zipcar.

Along the way he’s been on faculty at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), lectured, facilitated brand workshops, and brings his passion for great brand experiences to every project he leads or touches – still rolling up his sleeves and ‘doing’ as much as he guides and mentors.
