In 2020, I wrote and self-published Productive Accidents — a playbook for personal and professional adventure. It captures how, parallel to a global career in finance and a family with four children, I’ve managed to pursue multiple creative projects and support several causes by becoming a speaker, serial volunteer, and board member at not-for-profit organisations — Music For Life International in New York, and Resolve Foundation in Hong Kong.
I completed an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business when based in Singapore from 2001 to 2010. After graduating we relocated to Hong Kong and started playing with the concept of “productive accidents”, focused on creativity and how innovation happens. It quickly became obvious that a framework for innovation can also turn your personal and professional life into an adventure.
My book is an attempt to amplify and accelerate the journey — powered by the core ingredients of curiosity and a willingness to constantly connect and collaborate.
I’m a big believer in lifelong learning from a mix of both formal and informal providers — including authentic creative communities such as TEDx, CreativeMornings, PechaKucha, FuckUpNights, The School of Life, and House of Beautiful Business.
My favourite sports include bicycle motocross (BMX), skateboarding, tennis, and golf. I also play the drums and have started experimenting with an Ableton Push music console — favourite bands include Radiohead, The Pixies, and The Cure.
