Conducting effective customer interviews

Spearheaded the redesign of an analytics platform to track student and school-level data, resulting in increased engagement by 269%, daily active users by 117%, and retention rates by 29%.

Conducted 30 targeted interviews, identifying 7 user needs and 15 critical pain-points.

Translated research into 7 interactive Figma prototypes with 45+ screens, ensuring WCAG 2.1 accessibility; led 3 usability testing sessions with prototypes, achieving a 53% reduction in task completion time, and a user satisfaction score of 87.

Enhanced the design system in Figma with 20+ reusable component sets, patterns, and tokens, resulting in a 28% increase in speed-to-market and a 31% reduction in QC errors.

Led the complete end-to-end UX Process for 15 web-based applications to optimize internal business processes for network and engineering teams on the East Coast. These applications were in the areas of Project and Task Management, Budgeting, Resource Allocation, Audit Trails, Material Tracking, Tasking Infrastructure, Vendor Bids and Onboarding, Routing Admin, and Advanced Search.

Used a diverse set of testing and research methodologies as part of agile UX process to consistently identify pain-points in both legacy systems and redesigns. These included usability testing, A/B testing, card sorting, user interviews, and surveys.

Designed multiple iterations of wireframes with Sketch and Figma and ran feedback loops with Invision.

Worked with compliance and implementation development teams to build and maintain component libraries for React and Angular based UI components while ensuring technical feasibility was met during sprint cycles.

Conducted detailed UI audits of implemented screens to ensure that compliance guidelines were being followed.

Mentored two junior designers in both prototyping and user research.

Participated and worked on updating two primary design systems used for wireline and wireless projects - Canvas and VDS.

Participated in 3 Design Ideathons (winning 1 and placing 2nd in two).

As part of Qualitrol’s design team, I was tasked with designing the prototypes for a internal enterprise tool for power grid management. I worked with a cross-functional team of engineers and designers and created multiple iterations of user flows, journey maps, wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes (with Sketch, Adobe XD and Blend for Visual Studio) and gathered data and feedback using surveys, user interviews and testing sessions which fueled redesigns.

In addition, I was also tasked with creating an interactive web application that would be used in lieu of a physical product catalog. The process involved creating information architecture charts and user flows and talking to core members on the manufacturing and packaging floor to understand what information is sent to new customers about their product purchases. I designed the web application with CSS and JavaScript and it is now used as part of Qualtrol’s brand strategy for all their products.

I also created the official style and branding guidelines for all online and offline marketing material. The guidelines included color palettes, typography, iconography, layouts and logos. The guidelines were distributed to the sales, marketing and product teams as well as the company’s core customers and businesses as part of Qualitrol’s new brand strategy.

Amtex is a global software services and product development company that serves clients in a multitude of areas including media, healthcare, eCommerce, government, and fashion. As a member of both the software development and marketing team, I had the following responsibilities

I worked on building frontend features for ’The Mode’, which consisted of content management systems as well as the integrated websites. This process involved talking to clients on usability issues with the existing systems and initiating changes. As a frontend developer, I designed the newsletter and text-editor features and worked on redesigning major parts of the cms as per the client’s needs.
I also handled analytics for several projects and generated reports based on studying user behavior through Google Analytics, Search Console and Facebook Ads Manager.
