Senior user experience researcher at Google
I am a senior mixed method UX researcher at Google with a PhD in social psychology.
Prior to Google, I worked at Meta for 3 years and supported various products in different spaces, ranging from location powered consumer facing products to privacy and data policy to emerging technologies like AR and 0-1 products.
I have experiences mentoring junior researchers on topics like breaking into UX and transitioning from academia to UXR, interview prep, strategic and foundational research, how to work with disparate teams/stakeholders, research methodology and positioning research to drive business strategy.
I love sharing knowledge and my own experiences and also feel really passionate and fulfilling about helping people grow.

“I had a really fruitful session with Qi. From amplifying PhD work impact on the resume to presenting a research project, she offered unique perspective as a seasoned UXR coming from academia. Qi is encouraging and proactive, and I’d hope to have another chance to chat with her!”
