Sessions with Radosvet Petrov

  • Quick General Mentorship Session (20 min): This is a space for you to ask me anything. Whether it’s about career growth, learning new skills, or navigating challenges, I’m here to share my experience and offer guidance. Think of it as a quick, informal chat where you can get advice, ideas, or simply talk through what’s on your mind.
  • Career Transition Success (30 min): Changing careers is both exciting and challenging. I know this first-hand. Before becoming a software engineer in 2016, I spent 15 years as a professional athlete and later worked as a metal sheet worker. Each step taught me valuable lessons about adapting, working in a team, learning new skills, and building confidence in unfamiliar territory. This mentorship series is designed to support you as you take on your own transition. We’ll start by uncovering your transferable skills and connecting them to your career goals. From there, we’ll work on setting achievable milestones that play to your strengths and interests. My goal is to provide you with practical tools, guidance, and encouragement to help you move forward with clarity. You’ll not only be better prepared to step into a new career, but also more confident in spotting and seizing opportunities for growth along the way. I’ll be very happy if you join me as we explore new opportunities together and make your career transition as smooth as possible.
  • Conquering Job Interviews (30 min): In this session, we’ll do a relaxed mock interview where I share what really matters in interviews, drawing on my experience conducting 60+ interviews at large fintech companies. I’ll help you think through answers, highlight your strengths, and give practical tips that actually make a difference. It’s a friendly space to get personalised feedback, build confidence, and feel ready for your next interview.
  • Code Review (30 min): In this session, we’ll review a piece of your code or project together. I’ll provide constructive feedback on structure, readability, testing, accessibility, security, and maintainability, along with practical opportunities for improvement. The goal is to help you strengthen your engineering practices and feel more confident in your technical decisions. If possible, please share your code beforehand so we can make the most of our time together.
