Research: Conduct user, domain and competitor research on multiple aspects of how users experience online: user interviews, online survey, focus groups.

Plan: Create storyboards, user stories, user flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.

Design: Develop high fidelity wireframes for responsive Web Application and website to iterate on and refine the existing experience; keep design consistent with brand standards, analytics insight, and user feedback.

Testing: Assist in pre-release QA Testing; Analyze analytics and in-app user measurement.

Documentation: Create and maintain Interaction Design Documentation (IDD) to document the design process and bring team on the same page, including site map, user stories, and screenshots of current app with indication of interaction.

Help BC Council for Families develop a strategy to redesign the online shop, utilizing web tools such as shopify, that will enhance and simplify the user experience while also increasing sales.

Through my education as a UX student in RED Academy, I have gained hands-on skills in building usable and engaging products on today’s most widely used tools and software for testing and design. From concept, to prototyping, testing and design, I completed five projects in three month, two of them are community partnership projects. I helped Vancouver-based company Urban Body Organics by redesigning eCommerce website, also designed a garden task app for LifeSpace Gardens Company.

Skills I’ve learned:
User research, User-Centred Design, Design Thinking, Information Architecture, Usability Testing, Prototyping and User Interface Design, UX Industry Software (such as Sketch, InVision, Omnigraffle and Azure), Mobile User Experience, Responsive web design
