In 1985, after reading Akilan's novel "Chithirappaavai, (which won the prestigious Jnanpith Award In 1975.)" I pursued Fine Arts at JNTU College of Fine Arts, specializing in Applied Arts to become a Visualiser. Simultaneously, I worked part-time as a Finishing Artist at a local advertising agency, gaining Visualising and Design skills. My time at JNTU College of Fine Arts and living in a hostel taught me valuable lessons about art, connections, and relationships.
To further my career, I interned in Bombay, India, securing a trainee position at R K Swamy BBDO. This allowed me to explore different departments and absorb their working culture, bringing me closer to my dream job. After completing my BFA, I launched the successful 'Midnight Cowboy premium condom' project, leading to a full-time Visualiser role in a reputable agency in Hyderabad.
As a Creative/Art Director, I've enjoyed a fruitful advertising career, delivering vibrant visual communications and design solutions across sectors like corporate, retail, education, healthcare, and more. My achievements have earned me ADEX awards, highlighting expertise in advertising, KYC, KSM, strategic thinking, and management. I've effectively led teams, emphasizing efficient work processes and deadlines. Currently freelancing at Pulse Advertising Design Studio (PADS), I provide advertising services.
Amidst the challenges of the 2020 pandemic, I discovered the art form of Quilling. Starting with quilling on an eggshell, the process enthralled me. I spent three days meticulously creating shapes with colored paper coils, resulting in a tiny masterpiece. Quilling offered solace, joy, and a temporary escape from worries. I fell in love with it, dedicating myself to continuous learning and creating numerous quilling pieces. I promoted my work on social media and became a Quilling Art Professor at D Y Patil International University, teaching first-year students in Bachelor of Design.
Additionally, I've been privileged to serve as a visiting faculty member at DY Patil International University, sharing my knowledge with B.Design students. Subjects include Visualization, Print and Publication, Branding, and Quilling Art. Guiding students has ignited my passion for education.
Throughout my journey through Fine Arts, Advertising, and Quilling, I remain dedicated to fostering creativity, personal growth, and sharing knowledge with others.
