About Reza Boostani

Product Manager at WattShare

I'm a seasoned Product Manager with over seven years of experience in the tech industry and a full-stack developer at heart. I hold a master's degree in Technology, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation from McMaster University, which has shaped my approach to building products and fostering innovation. I’ve had the privilege of working on diverse projects that bridge the gap between technical expertise and business strategy, and I thrive on guiding others to unlock their potential in tech and entrepreneurship.

Sessions with Reza Boostani

  • Mentorship 1:1 session (30 min): A one-on-one mentorship session in product management is a dynamic, high-impact conversation designed to accelerate growth, sharpen decision-making, and deepen understanding of the craft. It’s more than just advice—it’s a collaborative partnership. Typically, the session starts with a quick pulse check: What’s been top-of-mind? Are there recent product wins, stakeholder challenges, or strategy pivots to unpack? The mentee might come prepared with specific topics—roadmap planning, user research, prioritization frameworks, or navigating cross-functional dynamics. The mentor brings in real-world product experience, asking probing questions to help the mentee think from first principles. They might walk through trade-offs in a feature decision, challenge assumptions in a user journey, or suggest tools for aligning better with engineering and design. It’s common to surface actionable insights—like a new approach to backlog grooming, a reframed North Star metric, or a more compelling way to pitch a product vision. Each session is tailored to the mentee’s context, helping them zoom out to strategy when they’re too deep in tactics—or zoom in when vision is too abstract. Over time, the relationship builds trust and momentum, often becoming a sounding board for key product moves.
