I’ve spent the last six years working in product, moving through Product Owner, Product Manager and senior leadership roles, and I now work as a Product Director in iGaming.
I’m 32 and moved into a Director role relatively early in my career. I’ve now spent more than three years at that level, building teams, managing across multiple product areas and working at enterprise scale. It’s given me a lot of exposure to how the job changes as your scope grows – from being close to the detail, to leading people, making bigger decisions, influencing senior stakeholders and creating clarity when there often isn’t an obvious answer.
I’m very conscious that job titles don’t mean you have everything figured out. A lot of my own development has come from staying curious, reading widely and deliberately learning outside of pure product – across design, leadership, finance, strategy and commercial thinking.
The part of product I enjoy most is the people side. Helping people grow, building strong teams, having difficult conversations well, giving people ownership, and helping someone work through a problem rather than simply telling them what to do.
I’m happy to talk about pretty much anything across product and leadership - career progression, becoming a better Product Manager, moving into management, building and leading teams, stakeholder management, prioritisation, strategy, commercial thinking, confidence, or simply working through a difficult situation at work.
I won’t pretend there’s one right way of doing product. I’ll share what I’ve learned, challenge your thinking where useful, and hopefully help you leave the conversation with a clearer view of what to do next.
