About Richard Parayno
Product Design Lead at Hostari
I'm a Filipino Product Designer with 3+ years of designing experiences for the tech industry and the Philippine tech community. I'm also currently an MSc Human-Computer Interaction student at the Paris-Lodron Universität Salzburg and FH Salzburg in Salzburg, Austria.
My skillset ranges from designing practical UIs for SaaS products, performing UX Research to help early-stage startups move towards product-market fit, to discovering and designing new ways of interacting with technology through Conversation Design.
Outside of my work, I volunteer my time and advocate good web design practices as one of the Community Leads of the Philippine Web Designers Organization (PWDO). Aside from this, I also provide a safe space and avenue for Filipino Tech Enthusiasts to discuss non-work-related topics (such as gaming) as one of the co-founders and admins of Tambayan 404.

What mentees say
“Richard's open-mindedness and inquisitiveness helped narrow down my focus on my project. I have a full page of notes after the session ended. That one page is priceless and crucial to the future of my project. Talk again soon!”
“I had an amazing session with Sir Richard! He patiently listened to all my queries with regards to presenting the research project and shared his valuable insights on all of them. I would definitely recommend other aspiring UX designers to connect with him!”
“It was an insightful session. He was able to give such good and honest advise not only on the project but as well on my personal view of me(?!?) Talk about impostor syndrome! Gave me back the confidence, that I am still on the right track. And gave points how to tackle each process. Thanks so much, Sir!”
