About Rija Aamir
Experience Designer at Publicis Sapient
Hello! My name is Rija and I’m an Experience Designer at Publicis Sapient. I’m passionate about creating delightful experiences and driving business impact. I have always enjoyed engaging both the creative and analytical parts of my brain. For a long time, I didn’t know how to combine the two into a career. Finding UX Design was the perfect mix of the two for me. I’m a futurist thinker who explores ways to understand where the product needs to be in the future.
I graduated with MS in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) from DePaul University in June 2022.
Previously, I have worked as a UX Design Intern at Reece USA (previously MORSCO), where I collaborated with the UX Team to solve design challenges on the company’s e-commerce website. I also worked at a startup, ezClinic LLC, where I was initially the only designer, who designed prototypes and then implemented them into HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. As a part of their internship program, I also mentored student interns and helped them navigate and understand what they want to achieve in tech careers.
Also, at DePaul University, I have served as a Student Ambassador where I helped new and current students with any questions they had regarding IT, UX and tech in general.
I am always open to helping others and providing the best advice as I possibly can. I know a lot of people in UX are trying their best to navigate their careers and I want to help them understand their potential and not to give up.
All in all, I want to share with others how I navigated difficult times in my career. As I continue my journey, I like to think of it as one big learning experience that continuously grows with collaboration.
P.S. In my free time, I love bullet journaling, read books, do hand-lettering, and bake goodies.

What mentees say
“I just have to give a huge shoutout to Rija for being an amazing mentor! She's been super patient with me during our sessions, even when my portfolio presentation seems to go on forever lol Her feedback has been spot-on, helping me trim down the unnecessary details and focus on what really matters.”
“Rija provided a higher level overview of how agency setting is and also resources that helped her with rationalizing her designs and other things from there. I appreciated her time and would recommend booking time with her.”
