Risa is an end-to-end product designer with a passion for solving complex problems. She is currently a senior product designer at a tech-based insurance start-up, where she has the opportunity to own the design discipline, including defining design ops, growing the design system, and crafting designs that span teams and platforms.
Her approach to design starts with a focus on people, first and foremost establishing empathy for those who make and use the products. She firmly believes that designers build organizational influence by understanding the business and bringing the right people to the table. In her free time, she enjoys staying active by running, biking, hiking, and skiing in the winter, and someday hopes to be the proud owner of a french bulldog.
