About Rishabh Gupta

Founding Product Manager at Partao

I build 0-to-1 marketplaces and SMB fintech in markets where the basics don't work yet - Dubai, Lagos, and now Europe.

Today I'm Founding Product Manager at Partao, Europe's largest B2B marketplace for agricultural and construction parts (5M+ SKUs). Before that I built Alerzoshop from zero into Nigeria's leading B2B procurement marketplace - $160M GMV, 180K+ MAU, three engineering squads - and launched embedded stock financing on top of it. At souKare I was founding PM for the Middle East's first full-service digital pharmacy, growing it from 180 to 57,000+ customers. I was also the founding growth hire at Vestaboard, a US DTC hardware brand, taking it from $0 to $11M in annual revenue.

I advise early-stage founders through Techstars and Next Billion Advisors, and have coached 1,100+ PMs and MBA candidates.

Book me for: Marketplace liquidity, take rate, supply onboarding Embedded lending, wallets, KYC/KYB, fraud 0-to-1: what to build, what to fake, when to kill it Early-stage paid acquisition and CAC Breaking into founding PM roles

Bring a specific problem. We'll get further than a general chat.

Sessions with Rishabh Gupta

  • Mentorship Session (30 min): General mentorship

We'll conduct mock interviews, provide personalized feedback, and equip you with effective interview techniques. Join this mentorship to excel in job interviews and land your desired position.
  • Marketplace liquidity teardown (45 min): Bring your marketplace and a specific problem. We'll go through the cold-start side you're stuck on, supply onboarding, take rate and pricing, and the two or three metrics that actually predict whether liquidity compounds. Best for pre-seed to Series A B2B marketplaces, procurement, and commerce platforms. I built Alerzoshop from zero to $160M GMV and 180K+ MAU in Nigeria, and now run product for Europe's largest B2B parts marketplace at 5M+ SKUs. Come with numbers if you have them. Vague questions get vague answers.
  • Embedded lending, wallets & KYC (45 min): For founders adding financial products on top of a commerce or SaaS business. We'll cover disbursement criteria and limits set against transaction history, choosing and working with an underwriting partner, automating KYC/KYB, and where fraud actually enters the flow. I launched embedded stock financing at Alerzo against Veedezpay transaction history, grew disbursements 71% QoQ, and cut verification time 85% and fraud incidents 70% by automating KYC/KYB. A UK partner carried the underwriting, so I know that seam well. Best for pre-seed to Series B fintech, B2B commerce, and marketplaces adding credit.
  • 0 to 1: what to build, fake, or kill (30 min): For founders and first product hires before product-market fit. What actually deserves engineering time, what should stay manual for now, and how to tell a product that's merely early from one that's wrong. I've been the first or founding product hire four times across four continents, pre-seed to Series B. That includes the least popular call in a startup: I built a store-operations app to $55K MRR and 4,500+ DAU in nine months, then sunsetted it, because single-owner retailers can't run back-office admin while serving a physical counter. Bring the decision you're avoiding.
  • Breaking into founding PM roles (30 min): For PMs targeting first-product-hire roles at seed and Series A startups, and for PMs at bigger companies who want to move earlier-stage. We'll cover what founders are actually screening for when they hire product hire number one, how to position experience that doesn't look like a traditional PM track, what to ask in the interview so you don't join a company with no real product problem, and how to think about scope and equity for a founding role. I've been the first or founding product hire four times, and I've coached 1,100+ PMs and MBA candidates. Bring a specific target company or your CV, not a general question.
