About Rohan Vardhan

Senior Software Engineer at Meta Platforms Inc

Hi! I’m a machine learning and distributed systems engineer focused on building large-scale AI platforms that power real-world products. My work spans ML infrastructure, reliability, and the intersection of software engineering with modern AI systems, with a strong interest in how systems behave at their boundaries where most real failures occur.

Over the years, I’ve worked across the full ML lifecycle from data pipelines and training workflows to large-scale inference systems. I enjoy turning complex technical ideas into practical design decisions and helping engineers grow into system-level thinkers.

As a mentor, I typically help with: Career growth in ML, AI, and backend engineering Transitioning into ML infrastructure or platform roles Preparing for senior and staff-level expectations System design and architecture thinking Navigating research, writing, and technical visibility

If you’re exploring your next step, want candid feedback, or need help thinking through a technical or career decision, I’d love to help. Feel free to share your goals ahead of our session so we can make it as useful as possible.
