Associate Creative Director at Huge
Hi, I’m Sam Clark – a creative director and designer based in Brooklyn. I’ve spent the last eight years bringing brands to life through strategic design.
I am a generalist and strong leader who brings strategy, curiosity, and creative solutions to business problems. Throughout my career, I have focused on mission-driven companies that build new behaviors. In-house, I have a track record of helping DTC companies, like y-combinator backed Feather, achieve scale with small budgets by building strong internal design-thinking cultures with business-focused mindsets. Agency side, I have led large scale strategic and design-centric work for companies like Apple, Google, and Canada Goose. With a BFA from RISD in photography, I apply a keen eye toward imagery and narrative in all work.
Currently at Instrument enriching the human experience through the thoughtful application of design and technology. I have worked as a designer and creative director leading and crafting design, product, and marketing experiences for brands such as Apple, Google, Vogue, Bloomscape, The NBA, Canada Goose, W Magazine, Louis Vuitton, Jimmy Choo, Great Jones, Floyd, Snowe, Topshop, Feather, American Express, Microsoft, Saks 5th Avenue, Architecture Interior Press, Smart Water, Viacom, and Italian Grazia Magazine.
My work has been featured in The New York Times, T Magazine, Forbes, Vogue, The Washington Post, Apartment Therapy, Architectural Digest, ThingTesting, Fortune, AdAge, Really Good Emails, Domino, and Fast Company. My fine art is included in the collections of the Smithsonian Museum of American History, the RISD Museum of Art, and the RISD Archives.
“Sam really helped me identified my growing opportunities and action steps. She also generously shared her thoughts in work, career and portfolio building. I really appreciate her time and guidance with my projects and my portfolio. I would recommend every one who want to know more about branding, visual design and portfolio to learn from Sam.”
“I meet with Sam for the first time and let me tell you...she's a special breed of designer/creative director. She's a Creative Director which is already an amazing accomplishment in and of itself BUT in her current role she also manages UX/UI Design teams.”
