Wakanow.com is Nigeria's first and leading online travel company. My task is to improve the travellers' experience while navigating point A to B all of the organisation's across platforms and channels. As the Senior User Experience Designer, I;1. Create data-driven design solutions to improve the digital experience of customers across platforms and work closely with engineers to ensure implementation meets design expectations. 2. Use gathered insights from user’s behaviour through firebase, to proffer solutions that improve the user's experience.3. Partner with the Business Analyst and Product owners to understand and implement design to meet business goals and objectives.4. Create several levels of fidelity for stakeholders deliberation before implementation to reduce technical debt. These increased Wakanow's rating on the app store, boosted sales and gave Wakanow a digital facelift across all platform, improving its brand perception.

I worked with a brilliant team of designers. I headed projects to craft identity systems for local and international brands, like Microsoft, Lagos Business School and the Ghanaian 2017 Presidential Campaign.1. Executed several graphic design and brands projects.2. Trained the team on the transition from Corel Draw and other preliminary design tools to industry-standard design platforms like Adobe Illustration. This put the team in the same ecosystem with global designers and brand developers.

This is a personal project that borders on my ideals of development and training others to help enhance their skillsets to where they want it to be.Feathers is an immersive learning platform that allows learning at the pace of the learner, with the help of interactive visual contents, engaged mentors, collaborative design community. As the creative director, I collaborate with the creative team of illustrators, motion graphic designers, graphic designers, front-end and back-end developers, social media/community managers, a brand strategist, still designers, and interactive digital designs; to develop assets and strategies for holistic branding and rebranding solutions and provide training materials. So far, the team and I have:1. Developed a training and mentorship curriculum that enhances the creative skills of tech and design enthusiasts.2. Implemented tested training models on over 267 students across tertiary and secondary school in Nigeria.3. Continually update the platform with recent, state of the art learning materials, that keeps our learners up-to-date with global industry trends

Being a start-up organisation at the time, I achieved the following while on the role:1. Created and managed the brand identity assets (logo, colour palettes, mascot etc.) and brand touch-points (business cards, letterheads) of the organisation.2. Developed the visual framework and UI (User Interface) of the website3. Collaborated to create visual contents for brand campaigns (e-flyers, brochures) and social media advertisement.

First exposure to the vast world of printing technologies. In my time there, I gained:1. A thorough understanding of designing for print and how it differs from that of web.2. Worked on print designs for top brands like MTN, Airtel and Guinness to name3. Worked with top of the line printing machines like Speed master, Creasing and Stitching machinesThis aided my understanding of the whole process to achieve a quality print result from the design to production stage.
