Who am I? I am a Mid-Weight Product Designer at ASOS. ASOS is an online fashion destination that enables 20-somethings to be who they are through the power of self-expression through fashion. I currently work on the Checkout experience, and I joined in April 2022.
Before that I was the first design hire at Workvivo; an employee experience platform competing with the likes of MS Yammer, Workplace from Meta, and so forth. This was the beginning of my design career back in May 2020, and it was where I learned so much and accelerated so quickly as a designer.
I am an end-to-end Product Designer, and that's what I love about being a designer. Seeing one idea on a sticky note and bringing it to life is a great feeling.
I did not study design, but leveraged my BSc in Business Information Systems to showcase why a person from a development and business analysis background can make an ace designer. It can be tough work breaking in from a non-traditional route, but it is so possible.
