Working with product and engineering

As a local leader for the IxDF Istanbul chapter, I help shape a growing UX community of over +500 active members. I organize in-person and online meetups, design talks, and mentorship events focused on fostering knowledge-sharing and professional development within the design field.

Alongside supporting the community, I continue to invest in my own learning. I’ve completed all courses offered by the Interaction Design Foundation, covering topics such as design thinking, usability, accessibility, design systems, and more.

I also mentor early-career designers through portfolio feedback and career guidance, contributing to a more inclusive and collaborative design culture.

At Colendi, I led end-to-end product design strategies across a broad fintech ecosystem, including Colendi, Colendi AI, Colendi Bank, Colendi Sigorta, and Colendi Menkul Değerler, for both web and mobile platforms.

I led the design efforts for high-impact projects in collaboration with major brands such as Migros, Turkcell, Paycell, OlduBil, BiP, Hadi, MoneyPay, DogGo, Türkiye Petrolleri, and Mükellef, spanning industries like fintech, telecom, and e-commerce.

My core responsibilities included product discovery, user interviews, A/B testing, UX strategy, interface design, and the development of a scalable Figma-based design system. I managed a team of five designers, offering mentorship and hands-on support to help them grow while ensuring consistency and quality across all products. I also collaborated closely with designers across Colendi’s subsidiaries and partner organizations.

In this role, I worked not only with product managers and engineering teams but also directly with C-level executives such as the CPO, CTO, and CDO. This close alignment ensured that design decisions were informed by both strategic business objectives and technical feasibility, allowing us to create solutions that were user-centered, agile-friendly, and impactful.

At Bilyoner, I led the end-to-end redesign of the company’s web and mobile platforms, with a strong focus on improving usability, design consistency, and conversion performance. The project was executed with a compact design team of just two people, aiming to deliver high-impact results with limited resources.

The redesign process was deeply rooted in user testing and qualitative research. Through moderated usability tests and interviews, we identified key pain points and unmet user needs, which shaped every aspect of the new experience.

As part of this transformation:

All core platform interfaces were redesigned from the ground up

The “Tribün” gamification section was reimagined to drive engagement and loyalty

The first user flows and UI designs for the new Horse Racing module were created

Working closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders, I translated research insights into intuitive and scalable solutions. From onboarding to payment and betting flows, we streamlined core experiences to make them faster, simpler, and more user-focused.

At Tuttur.com, I led the complete redesign of outdated web and mobile platforms, working within a compact design team of just two people. The existing interfaces were no longer aligned with modern usability standards or user expectations, which made a full UX and UI overhaul essential.

We conducted a thorough audit of the product, identified major usability gaps, and restructured the entire experience—from navigation and onboarding to betting flows and payment interactions. Our goal was to modernize the platform without alienating long-time users, while also creating a scalable foundation for future growth.

One of the key aspects of this project was collaborating closely with an external software development agency. I worked directly with their engineering leads to ensure smooth design handoffs, agile iteration, and technical feasibility throughout the implementation process.

Key responsibilities and contributions:

Led the end-to-end redesign process across mobile and web

Modernized UI components and user flows based on current UX standards

Created a scalable design system for consistent implementation

Acted as a bridge between internal stakeholders and the external dev team

Ensured designs were technically feasible, responsive, and scalable across devices

This project was not only a turning point for Tuttur’s user experience but also a strong example of remote collaboration and lean, high-impact design execution.

I began my design career at Ozi E-Ticaret, where I had the opportunity to work on digital products for a wide range of well-known brands across fintech, telecommunications, FMCG, and gaming sectors. These included BKM Express, Yudum, Avea, ING Bank, and Kelimelik, among others.

As part of a fast-paced agency environment, I was responsible for creating responsive web and mobile interfaces, designing user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes tailored to the unique needs of each client. This role allowed me to gain hands-on experience across the full design lifecycle—from concept and ideation to final handoff and developer collaboration.

Key responsibilities and contributions:

Designed UI for websites, dashboards, and mobile applications

Created user journeys and screen flows for various platforms

Delivered scalable and conversion-focused design solutions based on client briefs

Collaborated with product owners, developers, and creative teams within the agency

Supported visual storytelling while aligning with each brand’s identity and user needs

This experience played a foundational role in shaping my product thinking, strengthening my communication with cross-functional teams, and teaching me how to balance user experience with business objectives early in my career.
