Senior UX & UI designer at WW Norton
Hi there, I’m Shelby – a multidisciplinary designer and mentor. With over 9 years of experience across industrial design, marketing, graphic design, UX, and UI, I’ve built a career around one core goal: creating thoughtful, inclusive experiences that solve real problems.
I started with a degree in Industrial Design and quickly found myself exploring the full spectrum of design from accessibility-focused product development to website design, usability testing, and crafting digital interfaces. I’ve worked across teams and industries, always bridging the gap between visual design and user-centered thinking.
I currently work as a senior UX and visual UI designer creating fully accessible digital learning tools for a renowned publishing company. In addition, for the past year, I’ve taught UX & UI design at Wentworth Institute of Technology (Boston, MA), where I mentored students toward their first design co-ops. We focused on refining their resumes, strengthening their portfolios, and telling their stories with confidence.
If you’re early in your career and navigating how to stand out—or simply want feedback from someone who’s been there—I’d love to help. Let’s make your next step a great one!
