Hi, I’m Shiwakant.
I’ve been building and scaling backend systems for 14+ years across diverse industries, from e-commerce and food delivery startups to cloud and AI-driven platforms.
At Meta, I led the end-to-end development of a Thermal Mitigation Framework that reduced camera app crashes by 90% and improved device safety — work that was platformized across devices. Before that, at BigBasket, I built a Spark/Airflow platform from scratch and scaled predictive systems to support 30+ cities. I’ve also worked at Swiggy, Amazon, and a few earlier-stage companies, often stepping into ambiguous, high-impact backend problems and scaling them with distributed systems, real-time pipelines, and cloud-native approaches.
Lately, I’ve been exploring GenAI and system design more deeply — building projects with Stable Diffusion and organizing staff-level system design discussions on architectures like Uber, Netflix, etc.
