I work in a fast moving collaborative environment with designers, product managers, engineers and C-suite executives in a transformative agile ecosystem. My responsibilities extend to:

• Strategizing with partner clients and key stakeholders to provide unique designed solutions for their digital products; ranging from pre-seed to IPO funded ventures

• Working closely with product managers to translate business requirements to design and research outcomes. Some of these include conducting heuristic evaluations of existing products, one on one remote interviews with potential users, leading rebranding workshops, creative surveys and competitive analyses.  

• Syncing with engineering teams to understand scopes and technical limitations that come from leveraging different front-end frameworks as well as content management systems. 

• Leveraging Universal and Accessible design principles in all stages of the product development cycle; specifically AODA compliance requirements.

• Confidently taking a project from inception to finish via all milestones in the product design pipeline. From low-fidelity sketches to high fidelity working prototypes with interaction and motion models.  Additionally, presenting designs to clients in weekly design reviews. 

• As products come to life, conducting constant visual QA with front end engineers to aim for pixel perfect translation. Leveraging Browserstack, Android Studio and XCode to test. 

• Collaborating with internal TribalScale design and content marketing teams on creating promotional material, documentation and participating in healthy feedback sessions.

Formerly GOLO Inc. 

I worked closely within the Product team, with UX/UI designers, Product owners, Scrum masters and development teams in an Agile environment. 

My primary responsibilities included: 

* Developing the GOLO design system in accordance with stakeholders (development, product, marketing). 

* Designing and maintaining component libraries on Figma. Communicating changes across development teams. 

* Acted as the primary resource person and gatekeeper for all visual assets. 

* Streamlined design processes, making bench mark studies and creating templates and documentation on Figma, Jira and Confluence.

* Worked on Customer facing and merchant facing products.

As a research assistant with the Material Matters Lab, I was responsible for troubleshooting and generating multiple iterations and prototypes on a newly purchased technology - the Hoffman Hand Tufting Machine. Final tufted pieces were a means to communicate my final thesis project in the Emily Carr University Grad Show, 2018.

Demonstrated how to design an E-publication and interactive PDF
through in-class clinics, presentations and one-on-one tutoring. 

Facilitated weekly Show and Tell with students on popular print and web publications and participated in group critiques.


*INDD 210 Core Industrial Design Studio Jan 2017 - Apr 2017

- Demonstrated to students how to maintain and design a documentation
book as a course deliverable. 
- Conducted InDesign clinics and took the students through the basics of designing publications for web.
-Assisted students with their research probes and helped validate their content. 
- Shadowed the instructor and presented use-cases of well designed publications.

- Iinitiated one-on-one feedback sessions to support their final deliverables for the

As a graduate research assistant with the Health Design Lab I was part of a team that conceptualized Human Centered Workshops for Digital Health Companies in Vancouver. 

I studied existing human-centered design tools and suggested creative alternatives for the same, like Value Propositional Models, trigger and characteristic cards. The workshops supported companies to uncover customer insights, prototyping and user-testing along with strategies for product development and branding which emphasized usability and customer experience.

BankBazaar.com is a platform to compare multibrand financial products.As a graphic designer on the product team, i worked extensively on the email channel to produce attractive and click worthy visuals for customer and business engagement which was target driven. Was involved in conceptualizing and strategizing app and web flash sale campaigns with the content team. And expected to produce engaging and unique iconography for the web and app platforms sticking to brand guidelines and existing visual language.I was involved in weekly scrums, practiced listing targets for the week, worked in high energy situations with daily deadlines.

* Worked independently as a full time Graphic Designer between 2013 to 2014 then again between 2015 to 2016. *

The scope of my work included meeting with clients, understanding briefs, pitching ideas with very strong and diverse concepts.Some of the noted organisations i worked with were: UNICEF, The Hindu Centre for Politics and Public Policy, United Nations Volunteers, CRX Sports Ventures and so on. 

Expert in:
* UI/UX projects: Developing intuitive site interactions, architecture and navigation for Apps on iOS, Android with fully responsive web interfaces aligning with industry trends and styles. 

* Identity & Branding: Ideating and sketching out strong concepts to create a unique and memorable identity that extends itself to brand a product and/or service. Creating mood boards, typography styles, colour palettes, layout variations and form explorations are common practices in my design process.

* Illustration & Iconography: Flat UI, Skeuomorphism and hand illustrations are the techniques I use. Ideate to visually depict iconography in new and trendy ways. 

 *Corporate brochures & other marketing collateral: Understanding brand guidelines and tone of content to provide the best visual solution.

Explored website design, illustrations, attempted designing design elements for rebranding of a Restaurant menu card. Proposed designs on napkins for the same. Worked on overall design, layout and illustrations for HCL's current CSR website.

Interned with noted Fashion Photographer Sunder at his studio in Chennai.

Managed the design wing of theatre Y, a professional theatre group based in Chennai.
I designed posters,pamphlets, certificates,costumes, and other publicity material. I was part of the team that conceptualized over 100 events from stage productions,poetry readings and book launches to children’s theatre training and workshops.
