About Smit Nitinkumar Shah
Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft
Hello, I'm Smit! As a Senior Software Engineer and technical lead at Microsoft, I bring over a decade of experience in designing and operating mission-critical cloud platforms. My passion lies in guiding early-career engineers as they transition from merely "writing code" to "owning systems."
I specialize in Back-end Development, Security Engineering, Systems Design, and Generative AI. Whether you’re looking to enhance system reliability, improve incident response strategies, or delve into the complexities of Generative AI, I can offer insights and mentorship tailored to your needs.
Outside my day job I mentor U.S. military veterans through Microsoft's MSSA program and serve as an industry judge at university hackathons, where I've worked with 1,400+ students this past year.
