About Sohag Hasan

Technical Lead at MobyPay

Hi, I'm Sohag Hasan, a Tech Lead and Solutions Architect with 8+ years of experience building scalable, secure web applications. I'm a Certified Laravel Developer and AWS Certified Solutions Architect, and I currently lead an engineering team in fintech, working across payments, lending, and AI-driven products. Over the years I've delivered everything from cross-border money transfer platforms to apartment booking systems, and I work hands-on with Laravel, TypeScript, Go, Node.js, and AWS. AI has become a core part of my daily workflow, and helping developers use it well, to think, plan, and ship better, is something I find especially rewarding. As an ADPList Top 50 Mentor, I love supporting developers at every stage. Whether you want to grow technically, bring AI into your workflow, review your resume, navigate a career decision, or work through a real problem in your current setup, I'm here to help. Mentorship is my way of giving back to the community that shaped me and supporting the next generation of engineers. Book a session and let's grow together.

Drawing on my experience leading an engineering team and using tools like Claude Code daily in production work, we'll cover: โ€ข Where AI genuinely helps vs. where it slows you down โ€” and how to tell the difference โ€ข Practical workflows for code generation, refactoring, debugging, review, and documentation โ€ข Prompting techniques that get useful output instead of confident nonsense โ€ข How to stay sharp and keep growing as an engineer rather than outsourcing your thinking โ€ข Setting up AI tooling that fits your stack and habits Best for early-to-mid career engineers who want to move beyond copy-pasting from a chatbot and build a real, sustainable AI-augmented workflow. Come with a specific workflow pain point or a task you'd like to improve, and we'll work through it live together. You'll leave with concrete habits you can apply the same day.

โ€œI had a really good session with Sohag bhai. We mostly talked about career growth, what it takes to become a better backend engineer, and how I can gradually transition from PHP to Go. His advice was practical, honest, and based on real industry experience. I left the session with a much clearer idea of what I should focus on next. Thanks again for the great guidance!โ€
