Software Engineer II at Checkout.com
Hi, I am Sonali Agrawal and have 6+ YOE as a Software Engineer.
I discovered my passion for coding at the age of 9. I have worked on several projects in high school like real estate management system and college was all about winning robotics competitions including representing India in the international autonomous underwater vehicle competition in India and securing second rank! In my final year of college, I explored ML and did my thesis on new algorithms for online recommendation engines and sentiment analysis projects.
I interned at Microsoft and secured a pre-placement offer in my third year of college. After 4 fulfilling years at Microsoft India in various teams in the financial space, I moved to London to one of the leading fintech companies called Checkout.com and have been leading projects for increasing Acceptance Rate for our merchants by conceptualising and delivering rule engines that smartly suggest the payment routing path for every transaction.
I lead the mentorship programme in Checkout.com, have mentored women at my company before, been onboarding buddy to some folks, and have even had some experience with teaching C programming as a special education teacher in my uni.
