I’m working on a startup research project focused on non-contact monitoring for rotating cutting tools. My current research is centered on understanding how millwork shops, woodworking manufacturers, CNC operators, and production teams detect issues such as saw blade runout, blade wobble, chatter, vibration, and cutting defects before they result in scrap, rework, or downtime. I’m especially interested in learning from people with hands-on experience in shop operations, manufacturing, tooling, quality control, or engineering.
