About Sowmya R Iyer

Design Leader at Opendoor

Hi, I am Sowmya Iyer with almost 12 years of experience in Product Strategy & Design. I am currently a Product Lead at Opendoor. I work on customer-facing apps and complex enterprise tools. I previously worked at Lyft designing experiences in the bikes & scooter world and worked on many flagship mobile experiences at Samsung. Formally trained as an Industrial designer from India, I am passionate about the amalgamation of physical & digital products, AI/ML, Automation, and building user-intuitive products. I love biking and the great outdoors (at least in the summer). I paint more than I should and love to just sit around in parks, and observe people (with music in your ears of course, feels like life has a background music)
