Hi, my name is Stefan. I am originally from South Africa, but moved to Germany almost 2 years ago. I started my career as an Attorney, and then moved over to business and strategy which essentially led to tech. I have been a product manager for 5 years (2 years in banking, 2.5 years as a consultant in Europe, through Product People GmbH, and have been with Numa Group GmbH since July 2024).
Why I would like to be a mentor is three-fold:
I was a manager to around 7 product managers and associate products managers at Product People and I really enjoyed being their coach and mentor, it gave me a lot of joy; I believe I am quite good at it, and I help people achieve more and see more of the solutions within themselves, without stealing their learning from them. It brings benefit to the people I coach and mentor; I would like to be a CPO one day, and my next step is product lead, I moved away from consultancy this year to focus on the longer term wins and failures on my road to CPO.
