Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft
Hi everyone, I’m Swapnil, and I’m really excited to be your mentor.
I’ve spent the past 13+ years in software engineering, working on everything from healthcare systems at Cerner to cloud and distributed platforms at Microsoft and Okta, and product innovation at Amazon. Right now, I’m a Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft, where I focus on Azure Functions—building SDKs, shaping Node.js and Java support, and helping teams align on technical roadmaps.
Along the way, I’ve designed large-scale cloud systems, built developer tools, applied AI/LLMs to real-world problems, and led teams that delivered products with big business impact.
As your mentor, I can help with system design, coding practices, and distributed systems, but also with career growth—things like navigating challenges, building influence, or preparing for interviews. I’m also happy to share what I’ve learned about personal growth: developing confidence, handling setbacks, and balancing career and life.
Mentorship is a two-way street, so while I’ll share my experiences, I’m also looking forward to learning from you. Excited to get started and grow together
