Sessions with Sweeta Daga

  • Why Design Management Is Tricky? (30 min): Design isn’t just about creativity — it’s about collaboration, clarity, and navigating constraints. In this session, we’ll explore why design management is often one of the most underestimated yet critical roles in any product or creative team. Come and ask questions for open discussion. We can dive into: The real role of a design manager beyond the job description Balancing business needs with design vision Working across teams: from stakeholders to engineers Building trust, giving feedback, and fostering creative ownership Common traps and how to avoid them in design leadership Whether you're a designer looking to move into leadership, a PM trying to understand your design partners better, or a student curious about the behind-the-scenes of building products — this session will give you practical insights and real-world examples of what makes design management both tricky and transformative. Come prepared with your questions and I am here to do a conversation.
  • Mentorship Session (30 min): Mentor and mentee introductions. Share mentee's background, current role, and aspirations. Discuss the mentee's objectives for the session. Define specific areas of focus (e.g., portfolio review, career growth, specific design challenges). Dive deep into the chosen topics or challenges. Provide actionable insights, feedback, or advice. Address any additional questions or concerns. Encourage open dialogue for clarification or further exploration. Suggest next steps or tasks for the mentee to work on. Schedule a follow-up session (if applicable). Connect on LinkedIn further collaboration. Request mentee to share feedback on adplist.
  • Design and AI - Confusing Relationship (30 min): Design and AI share a complex relationship—full of opportunities, yet layered with confusion. This session explores where AI truly adds value in design, where it falls short, and how designers can use it without losing critical thinking and originality.
