* Worked on a project to develop, deploy, and support the 8200HDJ and 8200SDJ Japanese digital cable STBs (set-top boxes) for ARIB and JCL compliance. 
* Collaborated directly with Japanese application developers, MSOs (cable operators), and end-user customers with bug and feature feedback, and technical explanations of the problems/solutions.
* Assisted in debugging and issue tracking of the 8200HDJ during Japan Cable Laboratories' certification exams at their facility.

* Platform embedded software development for Ingenico's (formerly IVI-Checkmate) Payment and Transaction terminals. 
* Optimization and development of the capacitive and resistive touch screen and bootloader firmware used in the eN-Touch 1000 PIN Entry and Signature Capture device. 
* Developed and maintained DigiTool, a PC-based touch screen digitizer uploading and diagnostics tool for updating firmware, creating bootloader images, emulating a touchscreen panel to display and store touch coordinates (under Windows), and debugging hardware problems. 
* Optimized the protocol between the touchscreen microcontroller and the security/application microcontroller for higher resolution and better accuracy over a serial link that had already been saturated. 
* Developed a modular low-level hardware testing application for the hardware engineers to help troubleshoot and bring-up new Ingenico product prototype boards based on the “Millennium” ARM ASIC.

* Developed and maintained eTour, an interactive Web-based intranet and internet training application for Clarus's eProcurement, eMarket, and eXpense B2B e-Commerce software packages, with a modular engine-based framework. 
* Developed tools and reusable modular utilities in Lingo using parent scripting and customized behaviors, including a Field/Text object and HTML source converter, a template-based text file parser, a wildcard-enabled string comparator, a file manipulator, a batch file renaming tool, and a customizable list-based dynamic menu structure. 
* Implemented, maintained, and managed the eTour team's SourceSafe version control database after learning the developers had no method of version control. 
* Tools and Languages used: Macromedia Director, Flash, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Sound Edit 16, Adobe Photoshop, NewTek Lightwave 3D, Sonic Foundry SoundForge, Lingo, HTML, JavaScript, Microsoft Visual Source Safe.

* Assisted in the design and programming of a Motorola DSP evaluation board, a Lithium-Ion Battery Manager module based on the Atmel AVR Microcontroller, and a Motorola Flex Radio module for Ratio's Reference Platform System (RPS) and future portable devices. 
* Wrote Visual Basic applications for AppForge's RTOS and Virtual Machine to demonstrate the AppForge Embedded Toolkit's speed and efficiency on low-power embedded hand-held devices. 
* Developed libraries and drivers for the AppForge embedded RTOS in C. 
* Created the AppForge RTOS Kernel Programmer's Guide. 
* Wrote an application that dynamically generated Visual Basic code to test for bugs in AppForge's RTOS, ActiveX controls, and compiler. 
* Maintained the AppForge bugs/feature feedback database.

* Brought from concept to final product, a new patented cellular telephone metering device based on the Motorola 68HC11 microcontroller as the only engineer in a small startup company. 
* Continuously added features and enhancements to the device hardware and embedded firmware as per feedback from testing sites and the sales team. 
* Created and maintained the company's web sites including interactive Shockwave applications demonstrating the Cell Fare 2020 meter.
