Product management Lead at Amazon
I have 10+ years of work experience in technology product management leading B2C, B2B web-based, hardware/software products. In my most recent roles, I have managed the vision & strategy for user-facing products, creating frictionless experiences for users to help them accomplish their end goals. I am Product management lead at Amazon, where I oversee the shopping customer experience and product development of Amazon's smart shopping cart that enables customers to skip the checkout line at a store. . I also sit on the board of the Boston Product Management Association, which is a not-for-profit community of over 3K product management and product marketing professionals that focuses on growing the skills and careers of its members. I hold a bachelor's in computer science with a master's from Northeastern University. As an experienced product leader who has worked at Amazon, Wayfair, and Staples, I am passionate about building experiences that deliver magic to customers by understanding their needs better than they understand themselves. I am inspired to help others develop their product craft by mentoring the next generation of product manager. I love taking ideas from the whiteboard to market and accelerate the growth of businesses serving millions of users.
βAs an early career product manager, I am uncertain about how I should approach many career decisions around navigating this field (e.g. should I work in big tech or startups?). I was able to ask some of top questions to Tanay and he answered them in detail, drawing from his breadth of experience. Tanay was friendly and kind.β
βVery approachable and friendly conversation! Gave a lot of good information regarding entry level product management roles!β
βTanay provided me with some valuable advice on how to break into Product Management and how to prepare for interviews. He helped me better understand the skillsets that I need to be successful in this field. I would highly recommend Tanay as a mentor to others in the product community.β
