Worked with Business Operation Success Strategy team in EC2, AWS.

My role required recognizing revenue in accordance with US GAAP and ASC 606 thereby meeting the fiduciary role of a regulator and compliance officer and also having a solid foundation and understanding of the framework for integrated strategic financial decisions. My job entailed spearheading deal reviews from the draft stage to the execution stage. The deal reviews are across all lines of business such as Software License, Hardware, Support, Consulting, Advance Customer Services, and Cloud.

My role included pricing and negotiation of commercial solutions for large, medium, and small customers followed by contract closure of new and existing customers. Furthermore, I strategized plans for Revenues, Margins, and Order booking thereby analyzing variances between plans and actual. My job also entailed collaborating with internal stakeholders, which included sales, pre-sales, legal, and the business team, to maintain healthy operating parameters and supply chain effectiveness. Adding new clients to our kitty included the successful conversion of Request-for-information, Request-for-quotes, and Request-for-proposals.

The role involved supporting clients through the ERP software in the SAP FICO module. I worked towards enhancing the functioning of the system flow which helped stabilize the system and hence reduced the number of incidents. Further, I supported various business users in Procure to Pay, Order to cash process areas. Additionally, I strategized the implementation of the change requests flowing in the system which also included monitoring ongoing project activities.

Through this internship, I worked in the financial and economic departments. I got the opportunity to research a project which included various mergers and acquisitions in the telecom industry. I was also mentored by the head of the finance department and additionally, got exposure to the Government (central) working environment.

Here I interned in the Business development department which exposed me to the on-ground sales and marketing experience. I was also recognized as the top contributor as I identified and onboarded increased the number of users on the site.
