I am an experienced UX professional with over 15 years as a design leader and contributor with significant experience in building multi-disciplinary design teams, implementing customer-focused design strategies, and creating & driving design systems across product ecosystems, in both start-up and large corporate environments
I am extremely passionate about understanding customer/human behavior and using that knowledge to create experiences that are practical, meaningful, and beautiful as well as centered on aligning customer and business goals. As a design leader, I strive to create an environment of constant collaboration within and across disciplines and I have a great respect for building relationships of trust with our partners.
When possible, I continue practicing as a designer with my team as I strongly believe it's important to stay close to the work to remain relevant. I teach effective design strategies, express a strong point of view through writing and speaking, mentor staff, support and encourage fellow designers to reach further, invent new methods, and develop professionally.
