Currently, I’m conducting parent-centric research on parenthood wellbeing, gathering insights from new parents across China and Japan. Follow @real.beautiful.parenthood on Instagram for authentic parenting stories and insights driven by curiosity, not judgment.

Led generative & validation research on candidate-fist product engagement for career capital building.

Clients include: Shopify China, Google Ads, IKEA, The North Face, Frog Design, Chinalife Insurance, Kayamo Fintech Startup in Philippine, Dalloyau Bakery Boutique, etc.

Currently I’m based in Niigata, consulting with international organizations for sustainable business innovation.  Recent remote research includes: Redesigning 300+years Parisian dessert brand for China market, creating sustainable fin-tech systems for cooperatives in Philippine, launching the first mobile app for a top 3 insurance company in Taiwan, researching on Gen-Z jewelry consumers’ future etiquette and trends in both Japan and China, etc.

Worked with a global A&F brand to explore the future of omni-channel experience in Tier-1 cities. Conducted consumer research to reveal underlying scenarios for functional and fashionable outdoorsy wears.

Led diverse teams to design and solve problems around future food and sustainability.  For instance: conducting qualitative research on alternative protein and global trends into tangible food concepts; Identifying key components behind Chinese food and modifying these to fit a western palette; Streamlining complex food stations at a local chain store in Shanghai using full-body prototypes to highlight pain points; Bringing in consumer insights for a new food truck venture, providing strategy recommendations on food design guidelines, consumer digital experience, operation optimization, O2O marketing campaigns, etc.

Past research topics include: D2C platform for a top condiment company in mainland China, New craft beer venture in Asia, Future protein alternatives, Chinese food concepts in Western markets, Forecasting methods & tools,  Consumer insights on fashionable and healthy breakfast in China's second tier cities, etc.

Conducted clinical research for skin product testing in Asian populations.  Planned and executed qualitative research proposal.  Strategized business development, outreach development and implementation.

Co-taught course on Insight Gathering, Designing Research Tools, Data Synthesis and Ideation.  Project mentoring and management for DSI graduate program’s studio partnership with Philadelphia Academies, Inc.

Co-created new learning spaces for next generations and communicated the values to Philadelphia schools.  Planned and facilitated generative research with multiple stakeholders in educational setting.  Led artifacts ideation and production design.

Analyzed target audience and created branding for socially responsible startups to achieve ideal investment image.

A collaboration studio project between the Design for Social Impact(DSI) program at UArts and the Hub Centers for Meeting and Collaboration. Identified the demands from the current and potential users to help the Hub rethink future co-woring space based on users' actual needs.

A collaboration thesis project focused on Philadelphia Chinatown community.  This work empowered socially engaged artists to identify potential barriers in community outreach and engagement. Co-created design framework and solutions to improve community engagement and promote social impact.

Designed a mixture of needs assessment, as well as ways of integrating new technology to those who have physical limitations and need new approaches to deliver services.  Collaboration studio projects between the Design for Social Impact(DSI) program at UArts and the Liberty Resources, org.

Assessed and marketed campaign for new consumer technology and products in a multinational advertising agency.

Coordinated with the curator to arrange and organize art work selection for display;
Selected documentation;
Arranged and planned lighting and acoustics transportation;
Designed the exhibition and flow.
