I was asked to review and approve Figma designs for development, but I quickly realized the design process lacked user input. The designs had been created by subject matter experts based on their best guesses, with no user feedback incorporated. When I inquired about whether user feedback had been captured, I was told there were surveys—but even when I reviewed this feedback, it was dismissed by leadership with the reasoning that "customers don't know what they want."
